Ellie Alexander is the pen name of American author Kate Dyer-Seeley, who writes cozy mystery novels. Under her real name, she writes the Pacific Northwest Mysteries series.

As Alexander, she writes the Bakeshop Mysteries series. Kate loves the outdoors and uses walks, hikes and swimming to deal with writer&#;s block. She also enjoys trying out pastry recipes either in her own kitchen or at a coffeehouse.

Kate lives in the Pacific Northwest.

Kate Dyer-Seeley made her debut in with the non-fiction memoir Underneath the Ash.

Her first novel was Scene of the Climb, beginning her Pacific Northwest Mysteries series. Only months later, she debuted as Ellie Alexander with her novel Meet Your Baker, which was the first in her Bakeshop Mysteries series.
